GPAS Art and Photo Exhibit
GPAS Art and Photo Exhibit

February 23, 2010 at the General Meeting

Since some club members prefer to not bring live fish for the bowl shows in the winter, GPAS will hold the first annual club art and photo show at the February 23rd meeting. This will NOT replace the bowl show, but will be in addition to it.

Entries may include photos of your aquarium, your fish collecting trips, your fish observing trips, etc. Art entries should be limited to your own original fish/aquaria artwork. There are no size limits, however, 5x7 or 8x10 photos are suggested. Please include your name on the reverse of the entry.

This is not a judged exhibition, but each entrant will receive an award for exhibiting.

February Speaker
Please join us February 23rd at 7 P.M. for:
Unusual Dwarf Cichlids By Chuck Rambo

Chuck has been keeping aquarium fish for over 42 years. He has been interested in all cichlids the entire time but has always had a fondness for the horizontally challenged cichlids that are usually kept in smaller aquariums or can be kept in a community aquarium. In the mid 1980's he was the editor for the Apistogramma Study Group. Chuck has kept and bred many of these intersting aquarium fish over the years and has gained some experience that will help fellow aquarists enjoy these "dwarf cichlids", in their own aquarium. Chuck is a "Fellow" of the American Cichlid Association and has served as past Chairman as well as some other committees. He is the past president of the Pacific Coast Cichlid Association and current BOT member of the Silicon Valley Aquarium Society.

Cost: $5 for non members, no charge for current members or those purchasing membership the night of the meeting
